A quick test was performed on the concretion samples collected by Crew 291 using vinegar. 100 ml Vinegar was used for the test keeping safety in check. I used a hammer from RAM to crush and sieve the rock samples. Crew Biologist targeted PCR for ID, made up media, and inoculated them with samples from yesterday. He also performed another targeted PCR for yesterday’s samples. He also taught crew members (Bharti, Clare and me) the procedure of performing PCR for DNA identification on the samples collected from the field. Crew Artist, Green Hab Officer and Astronomer used it for their drawings.

Dual split: Heat On

Summary of RAM operations: (Tools used, work done) Received the three fire extinguishers which were put up for maintenance and repair. They are safely kept in RAM, Science Dome and Green Hab. I used a RAM hammer to break the concretion samples into small pieces.
