1) Psych Scale (TAMU IRB2019-1042D) – 3rd stage surveys completed, final stage on Saturday.

2) Medical Casts – Created 6 sample blocks with varying composition, 1:2 water to gypsum and 7.5:10 respectively. Sample blocks currently drying. Developed methodology for shear stress testing. Will test tomorrow to record shear stress. More powdered gypsum ready for use with simulated cast using strongest composition.

3) In-Situ Fluorescent Mineral Prospecting – EVA was successful with several samples obtained. Further evaluation will be done in Hab in a controlled dark room and compared against reference materials.

4) MDRS Mapping – Nothing further to report.

5) MDRS Communications – No new developments on this project today. Attempted communications with ISS flyover, no response.

6) Mars terraforming simulation was executed with success in 18 generations. Kennedy’s corporation was ultimately successful in the technical aspects but the whole group was able to enjoy the process.

1) Psych Scale (TAMU IRB2019-1042D) – 3rd stage surveys to take place on Wednesday.

2) Medical Casts – powder was dehydrated with 400 degree Celsius treatment. Samples were taken before and after dehydration to evaluate total water loss by weight. Powder will be rehydrated into molds to evaluate breaking points tomorrow or Thursday pending success of standardized mold.

1) Psych Scale (TAMU IRB2019-1042D) – 3rd stage surveys to take place on Wednesday.

2) Medical Casts – Nothing further to report.

3) In-Situ Fluorescent Mineral Prospecting – Two EVAs requested for Tues 03-Dec-2019.

4) MDRS Mapping – Nothing further to report (awaiting return of map with desired annotations).

5) MDRS Communications – Summited location on North Ridge, found ideal site for communications rebroadcast point. Conducting GIS analysis of view and tracks, considering maintainability and operational considerations for final report.

1) Psych Scale (TAMU IRB2019-1042D) – 2nd stage evaluations were completed. The final will be done on the last day.

2) Medical Casts – Due to activities in the Hab no work was done on this project today.

3) In-Situ Fluorescent Mineral Prospecting – Planning reconnaissance EVA for Tues 03-Dec-19.

4) MDRS Mapping – Nothing further to report (awaiting return of map with desired annotations).

5) MDRS Communications – New ETA planned for north ridge reconnaissance. A new map with high-level detail was printed. As the last attempt to summit the north ridge for possible comms site was unsuccessful, we have decided to attempt the summit through a weakness in the south ridge.

1) Psych Scale (TAMU IRB2019-1042D) – Nothing further to report.

2) Medical Casts – Continuation of Crew 215 research. Crushed 60% of gypsum, will continue tomorrow and begin purifying.

3) In-Situ Fluorescent Mineral Prospecting – Planning reconnaissance EVA for 03-Dec-2019.

4) MDRS Mapping – Nothing further to report (awaiting return of map with desired annotations).

5) MDRS Communications – Completed GIS view shades of repeater sites to West and South of Hab. Attempted to climb ridge to North of Hab to find rebroadcast point, climb aborted due to steepness. Will complete GIS reconnaissance of same point and potentially try again later in mission.

1) Psych Scale (TAMU IRB2019-1042D) – Nothing further to report.

2) Medical Casts – Continuation of Crew 215 research. Crew washed gypsum and experimented with crushing techniques

3) In-Situ Fluorescent Mineral Prospecting – Still searching for radioactives and rare Earths.

4) MDRS Mapping – Nothing further to report (awaiting return of map with desired annotations).

5) MDRS Communications – Attempted to test increased range of 5W transceiver to south, as well as find potential rebroadcast locations. EVA cut short due to Hab comms issue, though one potential site was marked at grid 12 S 0518585 4248798. Repeat attempt planned for EVA 06 on 27-Nov-19. On EVA 04 traveled to east of Hab to evaluate comms. Good comms as far as crew traveled, distance cut short due to battery life of rovers. EVA 05 planned tomorrow to evaluate radio rebroadcast sites close to Hab.
