Changes to crops: None

Narrative: The carrots appear to be dominating their portion of the planter and seem to be drawing nutrients from the adjacent oregano and parsley. Tuesday, we will harvest some of these carrots to help alleviate the stress on the rest of the grow bed and provide supplemental nutrition to the crew. The cucumber plants are dead and we will recover them and repurpose the soil for the incoming tomato plants at the beginning of sim tomorrow as well. We changed the fly paper in all of the pots and grow beds, and we took photos of all of the plants in the GreenHab to compare when we photograph them again several times throughout the sim.

Support/supplies needed: I suggest purchasing packages of fly paper in the next few weeks, there is only one left.

Narrative: We are having change over today, I am feeling so emotional to leave my kids(plants) in the hands of a new green officer Mr. Nathan Harland. I am sure he will take care of them and make them grow even better. Plants are growing as expected and looking forward to seeing their status in near future. Narrative: Out of all the sprouts, fenugreek sprouts have grown faster. Cover shaped leaves are about 5 cm high till today and growing, which make a pretty groundcover between taller, widely spaced crops. and the fact that fenugreek roots are capable of fixing nitrogen in the soil to naturally fertilize the crops around them. All these make the crop a perfect all-rounder.

Narrative: Today was the blissful day for us in midst of winds. We learned that Gardening is the most therapeutic and blissful act we could do. It made us forget every difficult weather conditions around. We were enjoying the smell of things in soil, by getting dirty without feeling guilty. It took little time to grow sprouts but one tiny leaf appeared from one of sprout as a light of joy with a new era of life. And slowly-slowly browns started turning into greens with a sprinkle of water and martian warmth.

Narrative: Today was the day of "the hub garden germination". We were observing planted sprouts in a garden soil tray and other composites of soils. Seed coat has ruptured, root has grown in ground and crop has started taking its shape. We could see good growth in sprouts planted in a tray, and promising growth in sprouts planted in various composites of soil.

Narrative: Today we observed planted sprouts, their germination is happening as expected in the soil. We made various compositions of soils from collected soils in MDRS, JSC Mars one (artificial soil), garden soil and charcoal. We are going to do an experiment on various compositions prepared by these soils.
