* We had an Internet problem last night which prevented us to send the operations report to CapComm. It solved itself at around 10am this morning.

* We overestimated the static water tank capacity, and after checking the level properly with a rope and measuring volumes we reestimated its current level. We will try to diminish consumption as much as we can, but it is already very low and we are investigating other reasons.

* The water pump leak is at a plastic joint. To fix it we would need to stop the waterflow and replace the joint with a new one. We will try to document further the following days. Attaching a picture of the pump with the mail (faulty joint is in red, and you can see that water has been leaking for it).

Summary of health and safety issues: Someone slightly twisted a bit his ankle while climbing down a ladder on the upper deck. Not really a problem.

Questions, concerns and requests to Mission Support:

* The hot water heater does not seem to work. Water does flow into the hot water pipes and taps, but keeps being cold.

Perhaps a problem with the propane supply ?

* The pump that flows from the loft tank to the taps seems to be leaking. The cardboard on the ceiling of the rightmost room is getting wet.

It looks that at least one previous crew was aware as we found a few sponges placed under the pump.

We fear that some long-term damage could happen to the cardboard and the wood that is immediately underneath it.

Additionally there is electric wiring up there, and water could enter in contact with it.

* I doubt that we will have enough water for the whole mission. We are trying to limit our consumption, but as a crew of eight even drinking water represents quite a cost.

Oil Added? Yes. The oil in the 300 was fine. Oil in 350.1 and 350.3 was low but ok, but it was very low in 350.2 (the dirty one). The Honda had NO oil at all.

Notes on ATVs: The battery was replaced in the 300 and it is now operational as well. We changed the spark plug in the Honda and it still wouldn’t start. Turned out the kill switch was on. When the kill switch in on in the Yamaha’s they won’t even turn over, in the Honda it will turn over but not engage the engine. At any rate, with no oil we would have ruined it if we had run it before we put oil in it, so all is good. The new spark plug wasn’t a waste, as it starts right up now.

When testing the ATVs, we discovered that the handlebars on 350.2 are now so low that it is damaging the machine, once again causing accelerator on the turn and reducing the turning ratio. We ran it into a rover due to these issues. The rover was undamaged but I decided to pull the ATV from use until I can figure out how to fix the
handlebars. If we do use this AYV, I will be the one to operate it/
