Crew 212 GreenHab Report – 14-May-2019: SOL 9

Environmental control: Ambient with the door open + fan turned up to 3 (max) from 13:00 to 19:00

Average temperatures:

Low: 21 °C

High: 43.8 °C

Hours of supplemental light: 0

Daily water usage for crops: 7 gallons

Water in Blue Tank: 130 gallons

Time(s) of watering for crops: 11:00

Changes to crops: All plants look healthy. Basil and tomato plants continue blooming. Cilantro plants start blooming too. Yellow tomatoes (on the black-metallic shelf) are ready to harvest.

Narrative: The GreenHab fan had to be turned on because of the indoor temperature has reached +40 °C afternoon. Plants were watered one time before noon (before to reach the higher temperature inside of the GreenHab).

Today’s harvest was carried out in order to prepare a lunch for the Crew based on salad and herbs. For the salad Roman Lettuce, Mixed Salad Greens, Radish, and the remaining Carrots were harvested, while for add some flavor to the food leaves of Oregano and Basil were taken.

Harvested: Roman Lettuce 20g + Oregano 50g + Mix Green Salad 70g + Radish 8g + Carrots 9g + Basil 5g
